Practice Description
Andrew W. Maron, a partner in the firm, focuses his practice on two principal areas: commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction law, and municipal law.

Mr. Maron has experience in all types of civil litigation, large and small, state and federal, local and regional. He has handled cases in traditional courtroom litigation as well as in arbitration and mediation.

In his construction law practice, Mr. Maron represents owners, contractors, and suppliers in all phases of the construction process: negotiation, contract preparation and dispute resolution. Educated as an engineer, Mr. Maron has the unique ability to understand the complex technical issues in today's construction industry.

Mr. Maron is also the co-chair of Short Cressman & Burgess' municipal group. As such, he oversees the firm's legal services to local governments. Mr. Maron currently serves as general counsel for two large water districts and has provided special counsel assistance to many other local municipalities.

Mr. Maron has been selected as a "Superlawyer" by Washington Law & Politics magazine every year since 2001. In 2006, he was named one of "Washington's Most Amazing Attorneys" in the field of construction law by Washington CEO Magazine.
